I pull from various different therapeutic modalities and use an eclectic approach with my clients. Existential and humanistic therapy helps me explore life’s meaning with a client who may be forming or reshaping their worldview. They’re perfect for the emerging middle/high school philosopher! Feminist therapy explores how concepts of race, gender, and disability can contribute to worsened mental health and how to navigate every aspect of your identity. These modalities provide an inclusive framework, especially for neurodivergent people, that allows me to explore the biggest questions and issues my clients have while maintaining the highest level of their autonomy and respect. I also am trained in inference-based cognitive behavioral therapy, which is a treatment for OCD that is more neurodivergent-affirming and doesn’t focus on simply eliminating obsessions or compulsions.
The people I work best with are those who really enjoy talking and having an open dialogue. I thrive when my clients tell me about their passions and interests, as it allows me to incorporate the things that matter most to them into our therapy. I primarily see those who are autistic (or suspect that they are), as well as gifted and ADHD individuals. I do have a knack for noticing autistic traits in those who would not be traditionally diagnosed and referring them for formal diagnosis (It takes one to know one, as I say). If you’re someone who is curious about how their brain functions and how it affects your daily life, I’m the guy for you! I don’t see neurodivergence as something to be cured; rather, I see it as something to grow with and nurture throughout our lives. I also love working with men and navigating what masculinity means to them. I value men’s mental health greatly and want to continue to be a proponent for change with how men show up in the world.
Self-pay is $175; family therapy and parent support are $200. I provide a sliding scale on a case-by-case basis, as well. You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate, which will be provided with the corresponding paperwork.
Yes! I am currently paneled with Aetna, Cigna, and Curative through Headway and am waiting to be paneled with Optum and UHC. I will check your copay using Headway and provide you with the information necessary to see if therapy will be accessible. I also superbill for those with out-of-network benefits or who want to have services be paid towards their deductible.
